Clipboard Observer
Clipboard Observer (click to run or download) is an application written in Java. Runs on Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Solaris, freeBSD and any java enabled OS. It observes system clipboard for images. This images are converted into CSS URL element formated in BASE64 encoding. If you are using GIMP or any other image editor, just copy any part of image to clipboard (CTRL+C), and observer will convert this part to BASE64 CSS element and put back to clipboard. This same behavior you will get in firefox when you copy some image to clipboard. Try it.
You need Java JRE or JDK environment to run this application. Then use your shell or command line:
java - jar clipboardobserver.jar
